The Granite Inn Policies

Check-In / Check-Out Times

Check-in is between 3:00 and 6:00pm. 

Check-out is by 10:30am.

If you would like to check in early, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Late check-out may be available for purchase as an add-on, subject to availability.

If you expect to arrive after 6:00 PM, please give us a call so we know when to expect you. We will also reach out if we have not heard from you. Guests arriving after 6:00 PM will receive instructions for self check-in and directions to their room.

Reservations, Cancellations & Travel Protection

As a small independent inn, cancellations can have a significant impact on our ability to rebook rooms, particularly during peak travel periods.

Reservations canceled more than 14 days before arrival are eligible for cancellation, subject to a $35 administrative fee. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable and guests are responsible for the full cost of their stay. 

Because unexpected events can affect travel plans, we encourage guests to purchase travel insurance. Travel insurance may help protect your investment in the event of illness, weather disruptions, transportation delays, or other unforeseen circumstances. Coverage options can be compared through InsureMyTrip or a provider of your choice.

Parking

Complimentary parking is available for registered guests, with one parking space provided per guest room. Our parking area is limited, so we kindly ask guests to park thoughtfully to ensure adequate space for everyone. Additional street parking may also be available nearby.

Pet Policy

To ensure the comfort of all guests, pets are permitted only under the following conditions:

  • Pets are allowed only in designated pet-friendly rooms and must be noted on your reservation.

  • A maximum of one (1) dog per room is permitted.

  • A non-refundable pet fee of $50 per stay will be charged.

  • Pets are not permitted in the dining room, breakfast areas, kitchen spaces, or other food-service areas.

  • Pets must be leashed or otherwise under the owner's control whenever outside the guest room.

  • Pets may not be left unattended in guests rooms while guests are off the Inn property.

  • Excessive barking, aggressive behavior, or disturbances to other guests are not permitted.

  • In consideration of all our guests, and to preserve the condition of our linens and furnishings, we request that pets be kept off of guest room beds and furniture. 

  • Owners must clean up after their pets and are responsible for any injury, damage, or additional cleaning costs caused by their pet.

  • Management reserves the right to require removal of any pet that violates this policy.

Service animals are welcome in accordance with applicable law and are not subject to pet fees.

Guests traveling with pets are welcome to contact us for recommendations on local boarding or daycare facilities.

Smoking, Vaping & Open Flames

The Granite Inn is a smoke-free property. Smoking, vaping, e-cigerettes, and the use of any open flame devices, including candles and incense, are prohibited inside guest rooms and indoor common areas.

Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. A minimum cleaning and restoration fee of $250 will be charged for violations of this policy.

Quiet Hours

To ensure a relaxing experience for all guests, quiet hours are observed from 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

As a historic property, some sounds can transfer between rooms and common areas. We ask all guests to be respectful of others throughout their stay. Excessive noise, disruptive behavior, or conduct that compromises the comfort or safety of guests or staff may result in removal from the property without refund.

Housekeeping

For your privacy and comfort, guest rooms are serviced upon request.

Guests staying four nights or longer may request a refresh service after their third night. Additional towels, linens, or amenities are always available upon request.

Damages & Incidentals

A valid payment method must be maintained on file throughout your stay. Guests are responsible for any damage to guest rooms, furnishings, fixtures, or property beyond normal wear and tear.

The Granite Inn reserves the right to charge for repair, replacement, specialized cleaning, or labor costs associated with excessive soiling, missing items, or property damage. Whenever possible, guests will be notified of any charges; however, some issues may only be discovered after departure.

Personal Property

The Granite Inn is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. Guests are encouraged to secure valuables and ensure all personal items are collected prior to departure.
