SPECIAL EVENTS

Both of the main public spaces - the living room and dining room - are available for special events: private meals (brunches, teas, or dinners); meetings, conferences, or retreats; showers or other types of parties. We are happy to provide food in-house or make arrangements with an outside caterer.

We can easily accommodate sit-down meals up to 30.

Restriction: because of the layout of the Inn, for events lasting past the normal check-in time of 3:00 pm, the event-holder must also rent the four guest rooms on the ground floor - rooms 1 through 4.

Our packages, developed in coordination with the other Historic Inns of Rockland, are the perfect blend of seasonally appropriate activities with the comfort offered and friendly relaxing atmosphere at the Granite Inn. Check them out and pick one that's just right for you.

Quiet Season Museum Package
(October 16th - June 15th )

Summer's not the only time to enjoy Rockland's world-class museums. Stay with us two consecutive nights in the Quiet Season (Thursday - Sunday), and we'll pick up the ticket prices to visit all three museums. After a full day, we'll also pick up the tab for dinner with $50 in Mid-Coast money that can be redeemed at participating local shops and restaurants. Your two-night package includes all of the following:

Lighthouses, Lobsters and Luxury Package
(June 1st - June 30th)

Join us to celebrate Maine lighthouses in the month of June. We provide the comfortable home base. Our beautiful, rugged coast provides the lighthouses and lobsters. This great getaway package includes ALL of the following:

If you want even more - windjammer sunset cruises, scenic plane rides to view remote lighthouses, or a beach picnic - these can also be arranged. Seniority Has Its Privileges
(September 1st - September 30th)

This special package is available to the young at heart fifty-five and up. Stay for three consecutive week nights (Sunday - Thursday), and you will receive a 25% discount off our published room rates. We provide the relaxing accommodations to rejuvenate you each day with all the package has to offer. With the package, you will receive the following:

Festival of Lights Package
(November 26th - November 28th, 2010)

What better way to welcome the holiday season than to visit Rockland for a traditional, coastal town celebration?

From 1:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, the Historic House Tour will include refreshments at the various venues and end with a silent Christmas tree auction to benefit the Rockland Public Library.

Our shops and galleries are open extended hours for your convenience making this a great alternative to fighting for a parking space at the mall. You can also indulge in foods of the season during the "Eat, Drink and Be Merry" celebration on Main Street.

At dusk on Saturday, Santa arrives via Coast Guard cutter followed by a Parade down Main Street where everybody contributes canned goods to brighten the holidays for the needy. From the Granite Inn, you'll have front-row seats for the parade. Join the conclusion of the parade at the Public Landing where you will be treated to more caroling and hot chocolate around a bonfire.

6th Annual Pies on Parade™, 1-4 pm
(Sunday, January 24, 2010)

Join the Historic Inns of Rockland as we present the 6th Annual Pies on Parade™ celebrating National Pie Day. Each of the participating inns will feature samplings of sweet and savory pies along with pie baking demonstrations and tours of the Inns. Proceeds benefit the Area Interfaith Outreach Food Pantry. With your one-night stay, you will receive ALL of the following:

  • Two tickets to the Tour
  • Exclusive Historic Inns of Rockland Cookbook entitled, INN-Dulgences: Breakfast, Chocolate & Pies Recipes from the Historic Inns of Rockland
  • A "personal pie" baked for each guest
